If You're Happy and You Know It...

Remember that tune? If you ask any child, I’m sure they’d respond “clap your hands” or “stomp your feet”. Like you, they are familiar with the popular children’s song. Just like children learn songs on their level, we also offer the Sunday readings and homily to our children on their level. Before the Sunday readings, during the 9:00 a.m. Mass, Fr. Dale invites children in grades K-3, to line up with others and have their special time together. An adult volunteer escorts the children to the Choir Room in church, where a lesson and activity or craft is planned for the children, centered on the readings. After Father’s homily, the children return to their families. If your child is in this age group, we encourage them to come! Should you have any questions about Children’s Church, or have any special circumstances surrounding your child’s participation, feel free to contact Darlene Fowler, Director of Religious Education at Darlene.fowler@sfxmw.com or call the parish office.
